Notebook Series
In the spring of 2006, I began a challenge to make one small quilt each week. My goal for each piece was to try a new technique or to experiment with new design elements. The resulting quilts comprise the Notebook Series, named both for their sizes and the idea that each tells a story of my inspiration for that week.
Quilts in this series fall into two size categories. Some quilts, as noted, have been mounted onto fabric-wrapped gallery canvas and are suitable for insertion into an 11″ by 14″ frame. The remaining quilts are all approximately 8″ by 10″, and you may choose to have the quilt finished in one of two ways: (1) The piece may be bound with a narrow binding around the edge, and a thin wooden dowel and small ring are attached to the back for ease in hanging. (2) The quilt will be edged with a narrow zigzag stitch to enable it to be matted and framed in a standard 11″ by 14″ frame.
